  • 1 litre milk

  • Cashews and almonds (optional)
  • Cardamom pods (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large heavy-bottomed pan or kadhai, heat the ghee over medium heat.
  2. Add the grated carrots and sauté for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the milk and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer, stirring occasionally, until most of the milk has been absorbed and the carrots are soft and cooked through.
  5. Add the sugar and stir well. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture thickens.
  6. Add the nuts and cardamom pods (if using) and mix well.
  7. Serve hot or chilled, garnished with more nuts if desired.
