Cumin seeds




Green Chillies


Red Chilli Powder

Coriander Powder

Turmeric Powder

Garam masala(optional)


Cooking Method

  1. Soak rice for 10 min.
  2. Take a pan, add water
  3. add soaked rice in that
  4. boil rice till it gets cooked
  5. till then , take a grinder, add ginger garlic and washed and cutted spinach
  6. and grind them
  7. keep this aside
  8. now check if rice is cooked or not
  9. drain water when its cooked,
  10. and keep it in a plate to get cool
  11. then take same pan and wash it,
  12. Add oil
  13. Add Cumin seeds and asafoetida
  14. when color changes, add Large cutted onions and green chillies
  15. and large cutted carrots
  16. roast and cook them
  17. then add spinach paste which we made earlier
  18. and mix
  19. then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder
  20. then mix nicely
  21. cook it properly so it gets flavored
  22. add garam masala and mix
  23. then add rice and mix
  24. cook for 3-4 min. at low flame
  25. Spinach rice are ready
  26. and roast some cashews, and add to rice
  27. and add some ghee and
  28. Our Spinach rice/Palak pulao is ready to eat
  29. You can eat with some chutney or papad.
